THIS IS THE ORIGINAL PRESSING. (AFTER THE ALBUM BECAME GOLD). "Led Zep I" was released in Jan. 1969 and recorded in the fall of 1968 in the UK. It sounds like a live studio record, because basically it was made that way. Fewer overdubs as with later recordings by the band. Their American Tour was under way when the record was released and they were selling out everywhere. Their first record went gold by July 1969. Sometime after this point, they started placing the "Gold" stickers on the front of the jacket, and were most likely used to around 1973, when Houses of the Holy was released. This issue could be from 1969 late towards 1972. Hard to tell. The vinyl is not super heavy but still of high quality. There is not a "Warners" logo, so it is definitely pre-the mid 1970's and later. Side two is in very good PLUS condition, and side one has a small scratch on "Dazed and Confused." The record was not test played. This is the "Boardwalk" American release and not an import or UK version. The record is not the newer "remastered" vinyl. This is the ORIGINAL RECORD> ST-A-681462CP, SD8216. The Matrix number and letters are 'Stamped' in the dead wax. There is a small water stain on the jacket cover. No rips or tears on the seams or spine. It comes with the original Atlantic Records insert with adverts. DAZED AND CONFUSED
