Led Zeppelin I / 1 - Rare early Australian Pressing LP Vinyl
This is a rare early Australian pressing, issued on a green & silver Atlantic label. Has laminated front cover and unlaminated back cover with description of the band which was unique to Australian and New Zealand early pressings and was soon replaced by a different back cover.
I believe this is a second pressing - the first pressings had a 'flipback' cover (unlike this one) and are almost impossible to find. These second pressings do not come up for sale very often either.
That's the good news, the bad news is both sides are covered in light scuffs all over. They are hairline with a few slightly thicker ones probably a result of not being stored in cover and just left in a pile (WHY!). The record has been cleaned with Record Revirginizer but it does have a constant crackle throughout. The loud moments are ok but it is very noticeable in the softer sections. It does sound a lot better than it looks and, depending on your crackle tolerance, is still a worthwhile listen.

The sleeve is in pretty good shape although it's a little worn around the edges and has a few flaws. There's some writing on the front top right (see photo) and it has ring wear. Gold record award sticker bottom left. Spine has 4cm split in middle. The back of the cover is unlaminated and is a bit dirty as per most white record sleeves and has ring wear. Check the photos.
