The History:
This is the legendary "Double RL" cut of Houses of the Holy, mastered by Robert Ludwig at Sterling Sound. This version is prized for its massive dynamic range and deep, punchy bass that standard pressings can't replicate. This specific copy is the "Second State" Presswell (PR) cut with the mid-70s Warner "W" logo and 75 Rockefeller Plaza address. For many collectors, the Presswell plant produced the most consistent and high-quality vinyl of the era.
The Details:
Vinyl Condition: VG+. The vinyl retains a beautiful high-gloss mirror finish. There are visible light paper scuffs and sleeve hairlines from the original textured inner sleeve, but no deep scratches that can be felt. This is a glossy, high-fidelity player.
Cover Condition: VG. Shows considerable shelf wear, corner dings, and ring wear as seen in the photos. The gatefold is solid and original.
Inner Sleeve: Includes the original textured lyric inner sleeve. Note: Typical seam separation present on one side.
Mastering: Authentic STERLING RL stamped/etched on both sides—the "gold standard" for this album.
