Description: Up for bidding/purchase is an exceptionally rare, collector-grade 1973 US First Pressing of Led Zeppelin’s "Houses of the Holy" (Atlantic SD 7255).
This copy features the highly coveted, definitive Robert Ludwig "Sterling RL" mastering stamp etched on BOTH sides of the dead wax.
Audiophiles consider the Ludwig cut to be the absolute finest, hardest-hitting sonic presentation of this masterpiece. It was pressed at the Presswell plant in New Jersey.
Included is the original, authentic paper inner sleeve featuring the album lyrics and credits.

The vinyl is visually pristine, boasting its brilliant, original factory gloss with no surface marks, scuffs, hairline scratches, or defects. It lies completely flat on the platter.
Audio performance is spectacular—clean, loud, and dynamic with no disruptive surface noise, pops, or clicks. Labels are crisp and free of spindle wear.
Jacket (Gatefold): Near Mint (NM)
The iconic gatefold cover looks incredible. The colors are highly vibrant with absolutely no ring wear or surface rubbing. The edges, corners, and spine are sharp, perfectly legible, and completely structurally sound. No seam splits, writing, or cut-out marks.
Inner Lyric Sleeve:
Clean, crisp, and intact with minor handling wear. No major splits or tears.
(Note on the inner sleeve: While very early production batches used a textured paper sleeve, the smooth paper lyric sleeve is perfectly correct for a Presswell "-C / -D" matrix iteration and does not negatively impact the high value of a true NM Ludwig disc).
