Record: Led Zeppelin - CODE R1-1/ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING. This is the original, authentic, first pressing. This is NOT A REISSUE, IMPORT, or COUNTERFEIT PRESSING. The thickness of the vinyl, the appearance and the construction of the record, cover and logo is consistent with original, first pressing. Record placed in an anti static sleeve to protect the vinyl. Inner sleeve is in excellent condition, with only a sign of an indentation where the record has been before I bought it. Purchased on its release from Selectadisc in Nottingham.
Cover: Wonderful gatefold textured sleeve in fabulous condition. Nothing wrong, no tears, no writing, no dents or creases. Placed inside a strong, gatefold PVC cover from date of purchase; subsequently stored in a high quality record box.
History: Ninth and final by Led Zeppelin. It was released in 1982 following the death of John Bonham (RIP). The album is a collection of outtakes from various sessions during Led Zeppelin's twelve-year career. I bought the album predominately for the opening track “We’re Gonna Grove” which was recorded at the Albert Hall gig on the 9th Jan 1970; written by Ben E King. The song was used on their 1970 UK and European tour and took over from another cover “Train Kept a Rollin’”. Prior to that I had a truly awful cassette of their Colston Hall (Bristol) gig for the same song.
