Description
Early UK pressing of Led Zeppelin’s debut LP (Atlantic 588171), manufactured by Polydor Records Ltd. The front laminated sleeve has the orange “Led Zeppelin” lettering and grey stripe along the bottom – the withdrawn turquoise‑lettered cover was first, followed by this orange‑lettered version. This example shows age toning, edge scuffs and some ring wear; a small tear/tape residue is visible at the upper edge, but the spine is intact. The back panel, showing the four band members and track list, has browning and edge wear. Vinyl has red/plum Atlantic labels with “Polydor Records Limited” credit and matrix numbers 588171 A//1 and B//1 (with 588171 scratched out and re‑etched), indicating an early 1969 pressing. Labels show some spindle wear; the record retains gloss with light hairlines and plays through with minor surface noise. Includes classics Good Times Bad Times, Babe I’m Gonna Leave You, You Shook Me and Dazed and Confused on Side 1; Side 2 offers Your Time Is Gonna Come, Black Mountain Side, Communication Breakdown, I Can’t Quit You Baby and How Many More Times. A solid copy of a sought‑after early pressing.
