DESCRIPTION: Led Zeppelin 1st self titled LP. 1st UK pressing with plum/red labels, "Superhype" label credits , machine stamped uncorrected A1/B1 matrix, fully laminated sleeve with grey/silver strip (orange not turquoise text) and correct style of white inner ("Plastic bags can be dangerous") though its an early 70s print. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Atlantic 588 171: YEAR OF RELEASE: 1969. COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK: CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): F/G+. Vinyl is clean with a lot of brushing lines, scuffs, hairlines and short surface lines. It looks like its spent a lot of its life outside of a protective inner sleeve. Played all of this today on my budget deck. The louder fuller tracks play okay but there is a lot of background sound and ticks throughout, particularly noticible in the quieter bluesy tracks. On my very basic deck it skipped only once during "Babe Im gonna Leave You" and 4-5 times during "Black Mountain Side". Its graded Fair and no better, its playable but the background sound is evident throughout, dont expect it to be any better. Cover is in okay shape. It is firm and square and has moderate edge wear (has a repair to spine split hence low grade) , moderate corner wear and moderate creasing. Inner is top end VG with light wear only and no splits. Clean labels- just check out the photos. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE. EACH EXTRA SINGLE DISC LP IS ROUGHLY £1.75 TO EUROPE, £2.75 TO THE AMERICAS AND £3.25 TO THE REST OF THE WORLD.
