Description
When Larry Norman was a kid he wrote this song "Country Church, Country People". Years later as a teenager he recorded a version of it on his dad's reel-to-reel machine, which was sent out to his fan club members a couple of years ago. He officially released it in 1983 on the "Tune" album.
This particular auction item is none of the above. It's a demo version he recorded at the Capitol Records building in October of 1969. Evidently it was sent out as a song pitch to singer Glen Campbell, who even more evidently had zero interest in it. Your winning bid includes a piece of stationary with a message to that effect. A very to-the-point message written by a certain "Secretary to Glen Campbell" which is quite amusing in its succinct nature. You'll also get the lead sheet music for the song.
We think this is a pretty decent Larry Norman auction item. I, for one, would be proud to keep it in a shoe box next to my collection of other cool things.
