Description
A great opportunity to buy a RARE VINYL LP from the 1960s by Lyn Taitt And The Jets called "Sounds Rock Steady".
This is a U.K. pressing released in 1967 on the Island label (ILP 969)(mono) and has 10 tracks (see photos for track listings).
The matrix numbers in the dead wax are:- ILP 969 A (side one) and ILP 969 B (side two).
The vinyl is in a clean and shiny VERY GOOD condition. I always examine and grade records under a bright table lamp and there are many light surface marks evident. I have played the whole of both sides and apart from the odd click, it sounds and plays great.
The labels are clean and free from any writing, stickers or major defects. There are only a few faint spindle marks noticeable on the labels, when tilted to the light.
The record is flat and has no warps of any description.
The record is housed within a plain poly-lined inner sleeve in a VERY GOOD condition, considering its age.
The cover is only in a GOOD condition.The edges and spine have suffered from some shelf wear and on the rear it appears to be rather grubby. There is some wear at the corners and some light wear along the opening edge. There is a small area in the bottom right corner where the top surface is missing, possibly where a sticker may have been removed.
Despite the shortcomings of the cover, this album is very highly rated as a collectable example of late 60s Rocksteady and should be of interest to avid collectors.
