Lunatic Soul is a solo music studio project behind Mariusz Duda, a Polish musician, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, leader of the Riverside program. Established in 2008, Lunatic Soul was to be a springboard from the music of the parent band, but above all a field for exploring other musical territories.  On the latest, seventh album, entitled "Through Shaded Woods", Mariusz Duda expands his musical territories with climates related to dark Scandinavian and Slavic folk, referring to such bands as Heilung or Warduna, but in his own characteristic "lunatic" style. After the rather strongly electronic "Fractured" and "Under The Fragmented Sky", the album is completely devoid of electronics, where it focuses primarily on "live instruments", trance and dance. An interesting fact is that this is the first album in the musician's discography in which Duda played all the instruments himself. The album is available in a basic and extended version. In the extended version, on the second disc, we will be able to hear the "Transition II" suite, a nearly 28-minute-long composition that introduces us to the entire history of Lunatic Soul. "Through Shaded Woods" is another musical opening of Lunatic Soul, certainly the most "pampered" and most sonically rich album, but also the brightest and most "positive" in the entire discography. Duda does not give up the melancholy and darkness characteristic of his work, but this time focuses on "light and hope".
