This record has been cleaned and played through completely both sides on a Thorens Turntable as well as visually inspected under a bright halogen desk lamp to provide an accurate grading.
LP’s are packed outside their covers to guard against ring-wear & splits during transit and then placed inside a plastic outer protective sleeve for safe delivery.

CONDITION
VINYL : glorious / a nice thick slab here / shiny throughout and tracks along fine with no skips or lead in-out noise / no marks and a crystal clear and clean sound throughout both sides / played carefully a couple of times at most / very difficult to fault really and rated close to Near MintLABELS : clean
SLEEVE : great cover shot here / this copy was sourced at some stage from the Channe7 library and still bears a sticker at top left corner on front / a larger sticker at lower left corner has been removed carefully leaving just a trace of a residue stain and barely noticeable really / somewhere along the line the lower seam came apart and somebody in their infinite wisdom repaired it with a strip of sticky tape (hadn’t they invented craft glue yet ?) which again has been carefully removed leaving a light band mark across the bottom on both back and front covers / the seam has been re-glued as it should be / there is a faint indication of ring-wear on both back and front and the entrance seam has a couple of very minor imperfections …probably from inadequate storage …WHEW !! the above sounds like a lot however they are all minor nuances and bearing in mind this is a white un-laminated sleeve it holds up pretty well …. more than acceptable in my book …perhaps even more-so given its rarity and I don’t envisage any complaints.
DESCRIPTION
A very impressive copy of this sought after Aussie soundtrack album to The FJ Holden movie ( probably more for the cover I suppose).The FJ Holden is as Australian as meat pies and vegemite and the artists featured here do an excellent job as a backdrop …even Frankie J as himself.
This is perhaps as good as it ever gets and and a terrific pick-up for FJ fans and collectors of 70’s nostalgia.
MORE NOTES
The film plot is certainly not rocket science however certainly catches the suburbia feel (i.e. Bankstown, NSW, Australia, 1970s. Kevin and his mate Bob spend their time drinking and cruising around the western suburbs of Sydney in Kevin's yellow FJ Holden, looking for girls. Over a period of time, Kevin reconditions his car, transforming it into an impressive canary-yellow hot-rod which he drag races on Saturday nights against other local petrol-heads. Kevin meets Anne and tries it on …gets a knock-back … all hell breaks loose at a party etc etc )Some interesting trivia here as well :
….dubbed 'Australian Graffiti'
…official World Premiere was held at the Chullora Drive-in (the film had been partially filmed in Chullora, New South Wales). Patrons arriving in FJ Holden or FX Holden cars were admitted for free. The film ended up being a box-office hit at drive-ins across the land.
It was estimated that when this movie was made, there were only about 500 original 'FJ Holden' cars left out of about the 300,000 originally manufactured…. And a lot less now I imagine.
