 "Live At Leeds" is the first official live album by the English rock band The Who, recorded on February 14, 1970, at the University of Leeds Refectory, and released on May 11, 1970. This DIY, rebellious aesthetic perfectly matched the band's image.
• Historical Significance: "Live At Leeds" was recorded during a period when The Who was extensively touring their rock opera Tommy. While the full Tommy performance from the Leeds show was later released on expanded editions, the original LP focused on their more straightforward rock and blues numbers, proving they were a formidable band beyond their conceptual works.
