"Open Up and Say... Ahh!" (Catalog No. C1-48493) is the second studio album by the American glam metal band Poison, released on May 3, 1988, on Capitol Records (in association with Enigma).
This album is widely considered the peak of the band's commercial success. It reached #2 on the Billboard 200 and has since been certified 5x Platinum in the US. It contains the band's signature power ballad "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," which became their only #1 hit single.
Key Features & Controversy

The "Censored" Cover: The original artwork featured a model in garish red/orange "she-demon" makeup with a long, prosthetic tongue. Due to pressure from religious groups and major retailers (like Walmart), the cover was quickly redesigned. The censored version (also C1-48493) features a black box that obscures most of the face, leaving only the demon's green eyes visible.

Production: Produced by Tom Werman, who had previously worked with Mötley Crüe and Cheap Trick. Paul Stanley of KISS was originally considered for the role but had to decline due to scheduling conflicts.
