RARE Albini mix
Nirvana In Utero Albini Mix 12" Vinyl LP! If you are looking at this, you probably already know all about this super rare LP! This record (with # 424-536-1) was accidentally pressed at the factory with the original Steve Albini mixes, instead of the watered down version that was originally released to the public! It is rumoured there may only be a few hundred at most of these in existence since many were recalled before having a chance to make it to the stores. Catalog # on the spine: 424 536-1 Sub Pop / Geffen DGC Records.
According to the discogs website, this Universal UK/Geffen release was cut from a different set of master tapes with a significantly different mix of the album (especially "Heart Shaped Box" and "All Apologies"). The pressing on the vinyl has matrix codes A33 9124 536 S1 320 and A33 9124 536 S2 320 stamped into the deadwax. Please check the discogs website or other Nirvana fan sites for more info if needed.
This one is still sealed for all of you Nirvana collectors, I also have my own personal opened copy and I can confirm the matrix codes are in fact stamped in deadwax (not written or scribed), and I can also confirm the album is significantly different, and better sounding album. NOT available on CD, only on the pressed LP.
THIS IS THE REAL DEAL - In Utero Albini Mix - has the correct cat # and verified matrix code.
