very LP on romanian label Electrecord Rec. from 197s

This is what we can call “I Cantori Moderni” (Les Vocalises Modernes) from Count Dracula's motherland ! Irresistible Bruno Nicolai / Alessandro Alessandroni feel that comes from the most latin country in eastern Europe. Wow ! This is a wonderful jazz album from Romania, and one side is entirely filled with scat vocals, the other one with instrumental jazz ! Very similar to the Novi Singers, maybe sweeter, the scat side is just marvellous ! The highlight here is "Cercuri" with a dope electro break at the beginning. On the other side, solid organ groove on "Nunta" and "Muguri sub zapada"), or organ swing on "Batuta". Simply fantastic, silky vocals on silky groove jazz.....
