LP (Laura Pergolizzi) is an American pop/rock singer and songwriter, originally from Long Island, New York. She moved to Los Angeles in 2010. LP has released five albums and one EP. As a songwriter, she has written for Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, and Cher, among others.
L.P. is an incredible artist and songwriter from New York City now living in L.A. Now signed to Warner Bros. Records, she has created a strong buzz in the LA music scene playing sold-out residencies at the Soho House and Sayers Club. With a unique and powerful voice, she has been described as a mix of Jeff Buckley, Florence + The Machine and Janis Joplin, yet has a style and sound all her own. In today's crowded musical landscape, LP stands out as a real artist with meaningful music. She can only truly be described through the sound of her music.
"Just by chance, I watched a video of LP in my hotel room in Greece (strangely enough, ONLY Greece is crazy about her) — I was immediately thrilled. It was a newer song by her, “Lost On You”! You rarely hear a voice like! Unfortunately, LP hasn't released a new album yet featuring “Lost On You” and the equally grandiose “Muddy Waters”, so I bought the previous album “Into The Wild”, as well as the live version. The theme song "Into The Wild" is the primary hit. In addition, there are hits like “Tokyo Sunrise” or “Levitator”. Oh, what do I say, the whole album is consistently stunning. LP almost always plays on her ukulele and there are also a lot of “oh-oh`s”, but always somehow different, so it does not get boring. This songwriter and singer just has it! If you want to check out more live skills, you should definitely take a look at the Beyonce cover “Halo”. Wow! Mouths remain open with wonder with what can come out of such a dainty person! Absolutely Remarkable & Recommended! " - Fan of This Album.
