LED ZEPPELIN "II" aka "2" (Atlantic 588198) original UK 1969 pressing (plum/red labels) gatefold sleeve
CLASSIC RARITY! A great copy of Led Zeppelin's second masterpiece, in its rarest format - rough plum and red labels, "The Lemon Song" label credit, E.J. Day gatefold sleeve (with the paler brown colour only on original pressings) and original poly-lined inner sleeve.

CONDITION : EX-/EX+ (Sleeve/Record)
DESCRIPTION : Led Zeppelin albums turn up trashed all the time, making quality examples extremely rare. Judging from spindle marks, this looks like it's been played once or twice! Vinyl looks and sounds superb, with a couple of ultra-light scuffs most likely from the few times its been removed from the inner sleeve - most would rate this as MINT MINUS. Labels perfect. In original poly-lined inner sleeve.
The gatefold sleeve is notoriously fragile, since it's unlaminated. While the record has obviously been rarely played and has spent most of its life in storage, the sleeve shows some wear - there is some light wear on the bottom right hand corner with some light rubbing (as pictured) and some very light corner bending on the bottom left and right (more noticeable on the reverse). However, the sleeve could most likely be flattened out (and it's not really too serious) - certainly nothing to visually distract from the front. Only very light edge rubbing, perfectly legible spine. Inner gatefold is excellent. SO - a superb audio copy, with a sleeve which shows some storage wear, but still a very nice example...

SMALL PRINT : I am first and foremost a collector, and grade strictly as I wish everyone would. Records will be well-packed between cardboard, and sent in record mailers. In the interests of the environment, these will be recycled whenever possible. Albums will be removed from outer sleeve to avoid seam splits in transit. All records are sent with a certificate of posting, if you wish additional insurance please ask – I cannot be held responsible for missing parcels.
