CONDITION
VINYL : Superb / shiny throughout / plays through brilliantly with a crisp and clean sound / no skips or pops or background noise / clean labels / no spindle marks / only lightly played and well cared for / a couple of very light marks only that don’t effect play / very difficult to fault and Rated EX+SLEEVE : Excellent / no marks and just the faintest hint of ring-wear which is remarkable given the white unlamintated cover / no writing or creases and the spine is intact / pretty difficult to fault at all

A terrific Polydor Deluxe 1st UK issue (Island label releases were apparently a 2nd issue) of this 1975 and 3rd album from UK keyboard-synth maestro Eno slotted in-between ‘Taking Tiger Mountain’ and ‘Discreet Music’.Eno is joined here by Robert Fripp (King Crimson), Percy Jones, Phil Collins (Genesis), John Cale (Velvet Underground) among others on what is heralded in so many circles as a masterpiece…truly sublime and one of his most influential albums.

Another Green World is a mesmerising electronic soundscape which does have vocals in places (which seem somewhat random but somehow perfect), and some impressive production. "St. Elmo's Fire" is wonderful and even pop oriented with the fascinating choral moments and bizarre lyrics but what really sets it afire (pardon the pun) is the gorgeous guitar work. I'll Come Running" (to tie your shoes) is another more traditional pop number, and the minimalist charm of "Golden Hours" is irresitible also. There are several beautiful and haunting ambient pieces like "In the Dark Trees", "Sombre Reptiles" and "Sky Saw" which sound very much like their titles. "Everything Merges With the Night" is pure serenity though most of the album gives off the complete relaxation vibe but don't be fooled because this is anything but simple….. and it grows on you like grapes upon the vine…SONGS
