Description

Purab Aur Pachhim - Kalayanji Anandji

ODEON MOCE 4024 (Indian Pressing)

Kind of different from the usual bollywood fare. Contains a superb version of 'Om Jai Jagadish Hare' which is a traditional Hindi Prayer. 'Raghupati Raghav' is another prayer which gets an exotic treatment by Kalanji Anandji. (Its the same song which OSIBISA covered in their 81 Tour of India.) 'Bharat Ka Rahene Wala Hoon' is a song Picturised on Manoj Kumar in the movie, the song is about how Bharat (India in Hindi) is better than the west. Well its a typical bollywood patriotic melodrama, just that the soundtrack is amazing. Released in the early 70s, now a middle age bollwood Classic. I am sorry for not being able to provide an internet link to any of the tracks.
