Description
This is an original American 33.3 RPM Long Playing Record by LIGHTNIN' SLIM from 1960. The title is "Rooster Blues". Label / Number is Excello L.P. 8000. This is the very first album released by the great Excello label and it's a good one! Otis (Lightnin' Slim) Hicks is an outstanding Vocalist / Guitar Player and he gives it his all on this dynamic LP that also features the wailing harmonica of the legendary Lazy Lester. The dozen selections include "Long Leanie Mama", "My Starter Won't Work", "Bed Bug Blues", "It's Mighty Crazy", "I'm Leavin' You Baby" and, of course, "Rooster Blues". Record has a few scuffs, light scratches and occasional minor surface noise, but plays very well with fine fidelity. Labels have light spindle wear and scuffing. Cover has wear, fraying around the edges, staining, a couple of small tears and an original price sticker in the upper right corner. Condition is: Record - VG+(+) Labels - VG++ Cover - VG+ This one is Hard-To-Find and a Classic in every way.
