City Preachers
Early alternative folk and folklore band from Hamburg, Germany, founded in 1965. The styles included jazz, blues and folklore from around the world.
Similar to Jack's Angels from Vienna, the band was leaded by an English tongue musician, here John O'Brien-Docker.
The group was open, means the members could change easily, everybody was invited to join. At least there was more than 20 members over the period to the early 70s.
What makes them special is the fact, that lots of later famous musicians first joined the City Preachers. There are for example Inga Rumpf and Udo Lindenberg.
