Title:  “Love”

Label:  ELEKTRA.  Monaural pressing on medium weight vinyl.  Label is gold with white logo and black text.  Catalog number is EKL-4001.

Background:

Love was an American rock group of the late 1960s and early 1970s. They were led by singer/songwriter Arthur Lee who wrote most of their material, though some of their best known songs were written by Bryan MacLean.  One of the first racially diverse American pop bands, their music reflected different influences, combining elements of rock and roll, garage rock, folk, and psychedelia.

While finding only modest success on the music charts, Love would come to be praised by critics as one of the finest and most important American rock groups of their era.

Personnel:

Arthur Lee – lead vocals, guitar, piano, percussion, harmonica

John Echols – lead guitar

Bryan MacLean – guitar, vocals

Ken Forssi - bass

Alban “Snoopy” Pfisterer – drums, organ, harpsichord

Condition:

DISC:  Vinyl is gorgeous NM-, a beauty!  The playing surface is immaculate.  Disc has a high luster, has been played a small number of times and handled with care.  Side 1 has a couple very slight scuffs that are not audible, nothing more - no audible marks or distractions.  Plays beautifully with superb fidelity.  Labels are clean and pristine, except “RCT” is written on Side 1 label.

JACKET:  Jacket is nice VG++.  Front artwork is clean and bright, with a few slight traces of ring wear just beginning to appear at the bottom and “RCT” initials written at upper right corner.  Light wear along bottom seam and at corner tips.  Reverse has light ring wear; otherwise is clean with no writing or stickers.  Overall a very nice jacket to accompany the beautiful disc.

Includes original vintage paper inner sleeve.
