I can see no wide spread evidence of scratches, scuffing, hairlines, bag rash, or blemishes it is in beautiful condition.

One small surface blemish, which to my ears didn’t seem to effect the playback

The albums have all been kept vertical in a purpose built rack away from temperature extremes.  The album comes from a clean pet and smoke free home.

About the album

Recording three LPs worth of material with anew line-up, Lee gave one to Elektra Records in order to fulfill the contractthat had been in place for nearly four years. Four Sail was released in August1969.

Arranging the two remaining LPs into a doublealbum, Lee signed a new contract with Blue Thumb Records and oversaw therelease of the seventeen-track Out Here in December 1969, a few months afterElektra released Four Sail.

The Out Here title came from the name of thecover painting, created by Burt Shonberg in 1969.

In May 2007, the album was released as thefirst disc of The Blue Thumb Recordings by Universal's Hip-O Select division.Its only appearance on compact disc before this was a 1990 reissue distributedthrough MCA. (The British label Ace put together an official compilation calledOut There, featuring most of the songs from Out Here but filled the rest of thedisc with songs not associated with the album.)

Subjective

This press is in excellent condition, it is a beautifullooking record and retains all of its deep mirror-like lustre and shine and hasno apparent groove-wear.

Playing

I recently played it again, the tracks Ilistened to played through lovely.  Idon’t think it has any significant hissing, jumps, skips, between track crackleand nasty loud pops.

History

It has been in my collection since new andonly played a few times on a quality turntable.

Definitions

Near Mint Condition

Verynearly mint just slightly under, maybe a couple of very, very light paper sleevescuffs that can only be seen under strong light. Some would class this as mint.This disc has been played a couple of times at most. Cover is virtually perfect- very minimal wear only.

Excellent Condition

Aclean & tidy copy that shows virtually no defects. Maybe one or two lightneedle scuffs or light sleeve removal marks that can only be seen under stronglight. There will be no scratches. Play will be near perfect with nodistortion. Cover will be very nice with maybe very minimal creasing, ring wearor edge wear.
