(the album was recorded Sept-Oct 1966 so the 11/12-66 etching is presumably the final mix/master)
THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN THE ORIGINAL FULLY LAMINATED UK SLEEVE "Printed by Jupiter Press Ltd." - PRETTY RARE TO FIND A UK PRINTED SLEEVE AS MOST COPIES ARE HOUSED IN US IMPORTS
COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL PLAIN WHITE DIE-CUT INNER SLEEVE WITH "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" AND "MADE IN ENGLAND" TEXT PRINTED IN GREY
Love broadened their scope into psychedelia on their second album, Arthur Lee's achingly melodic songwriting gifts reaching full flower.
The six songs that comprised the first side of this album when it was first issued are a truly classic body of work, highlighted by the atomic blast of pre-punk rock "Seven & Seven Is" (their only hit single), the manic jazz tempos of "Stephanie Knows Who," and the enchanting "She Comes in Colors," perhaps Lee's best composition (and reportedly the inspiration for the Rolling Stones' "She's a Rainbow").
It's only half the album however, and the second side is given over to the extended blues/rock work-out "Revelation" (original entitled "John Lee Hooker") which is a stunning tour de force of a band at the peak of it's powers

LABELS: NEAR MINT
Clean, fresh and unmarked labels with less than a handful of light spindle traces.
This copy has clearly seen very little use and the spindle hole is still quite tight
VINYL Visual: NEAR MINT
Unmarked under normal light the surfaces display just wispy light hairlines under very bright light
VINYL Audio: NEAR MINT
In keeping with its lightly played status my play-check at very loud volume revealed no audio issues whatsoever - no scratches, no clicks or pops and no groove-wear or distortion - sounds sensational throughout, beautifully clean and probably exceeds its NM audio grading!
Tremendous record - fantastic copy- very highly recommended indeed

The fully laminated cover is also in lovely condition - clean and unmarked with a deep, deep glossy sheen - very little rubbing.
The edges and spine show no wear to speak of - all spine text is clear and bold
