Description
Stunning Original 1967 UK STEREO 1st Pressing (A1//B1 Matrix) 'Forever Changes' by Love on 1st Press Orange Elektra Labels!!! Complete with 1st Press Fully Laminated 'Mono' Cover & 1st Press Inner Sleeve!!! In Stunning Ex/Ex Condition!!! Impossibly Rare to Find in This Condition & as a True A1//B1 UK 1st Pressing!!!
You are bidding on what is quite simply one of the best records ever made; the beautiful 'Forever Changes' by Arthur Lee's Love!!! What makes this record even more special is it's earliest A1//B1 1967 UK Stereo 1st Pressing. It is so early that it still has the 'Mono' sleeve that was issued only witht he earliest 1st pressings (when this 1st A1//B1 stereo vinyl was pressed they had not yet made the 'Stereo' sleeve that was meant to accompany it!!!) This is it - Arthur Lee's finest hour, and in many people's top 5 albums of all time. It is so beautifully arranged that it can quite happily sit amongst the best music ever composed, including Beethoven, Mozart etc. Delicate, fragile and absolutely beautiful from start to finish, I could write all night about why you should own this record, but I figure if you're already reading this you know the deal. As the stereo 1st pressing this sounds absolutely awesome, the first press sound was never fully captured again on later pressings. This is really the only way to own this seminal LP. A warmer more beautifully welcoming and human sounding copy of 'Forever Changes' you will not find. Exactly as Arthur Lee meant it to sound.

The cool 1st press orange Elektra centre labels are in Excellent condition There is NO lifting or Bubbling, NO unwanted writing/scribbles and just the normal spindle lines only visible when holding the record angled against light. The disc itself is in super condition and has a full deep glass-like shine and absolutely NO groove wear at all!!! It really is a beautiful looking record and has NO scratches a all!!! There are just one or two waxy superficial surface lines that can only really be seen when holding the record angles against the light from a window, a lovely looking example of this very rare UK 1st pressing. This record plays beautifully with only the most low level background pops. these are occasional and cannot be heard over the music except occasionally during the fade in/fade out. The only real issue is two short bursts of static interference (for 2 consecutive revolutions) during 'Alone Again Or' and one during the beginning of 'Live & Let Live'. Other than that this record plays beautifully with no nasty loud pops, hissing, skips or jumps!!! It easily grades as Very Good+!!! To find a UK 1st pressing of this legendary album that looks and plays like this is very rare indeed!!! The classic fully laminated Mono printed 1st Press sleeve is also in superb condition!!! It has NO Tears, NO Scribbles and NO unwanted writing of any kind anywhere on the sleeve!!! It is completely blemish free!!! The sleeve lies perfectly FLAT with virtually NO RING WEAR and a superb Nr Mint spine, with pristine Nr Mint legible spine text!!! The thick laminate is SUPERB. It has retained all its original clarity allowing all the colours of the classic psychedelic artwork to come through perfectly, the colours as bold and vibrant and the day the sleeve was printed. It has just 4 small oxbow type laminate crease to the front side and just slightest thin sliver of laminate lifting along the spine edge, which is common with this sleeve but barely noticeable and is the best I have ever seen for this particular problem. Both the front and back of the laminate are superb!!!!! Nice and clean and white with very little of the grubbiness and discolouration that this (mostly white) sleeve is famed for. The corners are nice and sharp and I can see no noticeable wear to the seams!!! This cool sleeve grades as Excellent at the very least!!!! Comes complete with its original and correct 'Made in England' & 'British Patent' poly-lined windowed inner sleeve! Please check out our feedback and bid with confidence as this is a no reserve auction with a very low starting price! Do not underestimate the rarity of this LP, it hardly ever turns up as a UK 1st pressing anymore!!! As usual it will go to the highest bidder! Like all our auctions, it has no reserve and a very low start, so once its gone its gone. Please do not email asking for identical copies, cos there ain't any!!! This is the EARLIEST and best copy of this rare UK Mono 1st pressing I have EVER seen!!!
Like the vast majority of my collection, this record has been archived in a smoke & damp free environment for the best part of 20-30 years!
All my records have No reserve, a Low Start and No Surcharges!

Postage ... Hazey Jane has absolutely NO hidden surcharges; the price you win is the price you pay, just add the relevant postage, it's as simple as that! We always combine postage so if you win more than 1 auction you save money on postage costs! We will only ship to non-UK countries via Airmail - we do not use surface mail, it is way too slow and thus increases the risk of records being damaged during transit.
A little note about insurance - Please read carefully... If the value of your record(s) is over £30, your invoice will include an insured option. Being the responsible adults you are, it is entirely up to you to take this up - we strongly advise you to do this but will not hassle you about it. You either add the required insurance or you don't. If you do add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will get a refund. If you don't add the required insurance and your record is lost/damaged, you will not get a refund. Can we be any clearer? I think not.

Refunds & Feedback ... Please read this carefully ... We try to give you the best quality examples of rare records available. However, there will always be somebody out there whose expectations far exceed UK record collector grading standards. If you are in anyway unsatisfied with your record or our grading of it please refer to the UK Record Collector Grading Chart very carefully BEFORE emailing us. We strictly adhere to it and will only offer refunds (minus the postage AND our eBay costs) if we are satisfied that we have fallen below UK record collector grading standards. This will very rarely, if ever, happen. We will not be impressed with buyers disputing our gradings without even bothering to check the UK record collector grading standards chart first - you have been warned ...
Buyers who continually Haggle, Whine and Moan to try to decrease the price they won their auctions for will be blocked from bidding on future auctions and can toodle off down to HMV or Virgin where they can harass the counter staff there.
We will always leave feedback upon receipt of feedback. In an ideal world we would like to leave feedback as soon as the record has been shipped but due to feedback blackmail in the past (i,e, ",,,I want a partial refund or I will leave negative feedback") we have opted to take this measure. Contact must be made within 3 days of winning the auction. If payment has not been received after 10 days a non paying bidder alert will be placed. If payment is then not received within 7 days Negative feedback WILL be left and the buyer WILL be given a strike by eBay. Thems the terms. Thanks for reading.
