ALONE AGAIN OR
Incredible. Simply mesmerizing. Arthur Lee and Love were one of the best of the West Coast groups back in '67 and didn't get their fair share of the attention. I guess they were a little too high flown and not trippy enough. The guitar is excellent, the lyrics insightful, and the melodies unforgettable.
Between 1966 and 1971, Arthur Lee and LOVE releases some of the most innovative music to come out of the West Coast. This single is from March of 1968 and pairs the songs "Alone Again Or" with "A House Is Not A Motel."
This was the band's final chart single, although that's perhaps overstating it a bit, since it only made it to #99 and fell off the charts rising no higher. It's a marvelous tune and is one of the band's best-remembered productions. Even the UK punk band The Damned saw fit to record a version
