LOUIS SMITH: BLUE NOTE Records BLP-1584 (Mfd in NYC in the 50's) This is a very hard one to find. I received it from its original owner, who obtained this back in the 50's. It's most likely a Promo, as the Back Cover has a Stamper Mark from The ALLIED RECORD DISTRIBUTORS (Hartford, Conn.). The Cover is in EXCELLENT condition, almost new. It's super clean. The Front has a light "Cream" color, the Back is very clean and White. I couldn't get good lighting on this, so none of the Pictures really do it justice. The only blemish is a small, light age spot on the Front at the Top Middle. I tried to take a good picture of that mark, but couldn't. The Cover almost looks like it was just printed.  Please note the tight, square corners on all 4 sides. Please scroll through all 12 Pictures that are posted here. The Labels are clean and new on both sides. The Vinyl itself looks very clean and almost new/new. If there are any paper scuffs, they are so light that I can't see them. The Run-Off Groove has the Ear Mark on it, and the Machine Stamped RVG. It also has hand etched: BN-LP-1584 A-1 and B-1. The Sound Quality is very nice and clean; it plays VG++ and Better. Overall, you'll probably never find a better copy of this Classic BLUE NOTE. It will depend on where the package ships. We'll have to figure it out later, but it will probably cost around $90-$130. It might be cheaper and/or better to ship this FEDEX, depending on where it has to be sent. Either way, it has to be sent Insured for full value.  The POST OFFICE LOSES PACKAGES, don't blame me if it happens to you. Since I will have to insure it, I will have to declare full sales value.
