LOUIS ARMSTRONG LP Click to enlarge I'm offering the Japan Import album "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. Released by ABC Records; in Japan by Nippon Columbia Co. Ltd. #YW-8510. 33rpm. In stereo. In its original protective plastic wrap, jacket, and plastic sleeve. Includes a sheet of song lyrics, in Japanese on one side and English on the other. I derived at this price based on previous ebay sales of the same album. I've owned this since it came out and have never played it. I worked in the entertainment business here in Hollywood and got a lot of records for free. Sometimes duplicates. This is not a promo record. It's in mint condition. Sleeve and jacket are also mint. Louis Armstrong (August 4, 1901 – July 6, 1971), nicknamed Satchmo, Satch and Pops, was an American trumpeter, composer, and occasional actor who was one of the most influential figures in jazz. His career spanned five decades, from the 1920s to the 1960s, and different eras in the history of jazz. With his instantly recognizable gravelly voice, Armstrong was also an influential singer, demonstrating great dexterity as an improviser, bending the lyrics and melody of a song for expressive purposes. He was also very skilled at scat singing. Armstrong is renowned for his charismatic stage presence and voice almost as much as for his trumpet playing.
