Description
This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of a 1978 LP by former Velvet Underground leader Lou Reed. Reed's solo output in the 1970s was somewhat erratic, lurching from the subdued tale of two junkie lovers on Berlin to the outré experimental double LP Metal Machine Music, and including some more conventional rock albums as well. Street Hassle is one of his best albums from the period. It is notable for the three part, 11 minute title track, with its strings and spoken word section (the song was covered by Scottish group Simple Minds in the early '80s). Other parts of the LP were recorded live in West Germany. The jacket has some mostly light creasing in the corners and along the spine and seams; light ring, corner, and seam wear; and a small stain on the back cover (EX). The disc is clean with some light scuffing, and plays with occasional light surface noise -- EX(+). The record comes with a custom inner sleeve (EX+).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
