Vinyl:  strong VG to VG+ (6.5 to 7 out of 10)
This is a conservative grade. The record has been cleaned on my VPI machine and handled with care. To provide the best description possible, detailed text, numerous pictures and often audio clips are used to fully describe the record for sale.
Decent shine to the vinyl... Strong playing record overall with only light to moderate background noise during quiet passages with light clicks or pops along the way. Of course, sound quality is purely up to the listener's opinion, which is why I've listed the play clips below. This is an above average record overall that plays well in my opinion.  There are light sleeve scuffs and light marks present in general but none disturb playback and create a skip or jump.  No marks are heavy, all are light in my opinion.  Nice range of sound from this original, its a great listen for sure.
Labels are as shown in the detailed pictures, they have an ink wash look as it appears someone did a rather sloppy job of cleaning the record long ago - the blue faded out into the white a bit.  Also there are 'waves' in the label, obviously from getting wet long ago... label is still stuck solid to the vinyl, no worries there. I have cleaned the album on my VPI 16.5 machine and it has always been dry and stored properly during my ownership.
Please judge the playback for yourself at the clips below.  For playback, I use a DUAL 731Q direct drive with an Ortofon 5E cartridge/stylus setup.

Cover / Sleeve:  
The cover is in VG to VG+ condition. No splits. Slight bow to the cover, not to the record! Front cover shows well with light to moderate evidence of handling.  Seams are all solid. Sharp seams actually and in great structural shape.  Back cover has foxing from age, I've taken pictures to show all angles of the cover.  Its in average to above average condition, acceptable for an original in my opinion.  The inner sleeve is the original Blue Note but has a tear along one face all the way down, I tried to get this in the picture... I was going to tape it but figured I'd leave that to the next owner.  I've slid it back inside the cover, I've housed the vinyl in an older style RCA audiophile sleeve, paper with a window and poly inner.  Its been happy ever since.
The original sleeve has the split and chipping at the mouth and is included to complete the package, not for the condition obviously... The record and audiophile inner sleeve will ship outside the cover, all will ride inside a clear outer sleeve, then everything is packed and padded as all my records ship. Please inspect the pictures well for something I may have missed mentioning. I've enjoyed the record while I've owned it, its time to let it go to make room for more acquisitions. I try to be conservative when grading, I hope my description was sufficient.

All records are packaged with care and shipped outside their sleeves and covers, encased in bubble wrap, padded with cardboard when necessary, boxed in record boxes and taped well. SS = Still Sealed
any defects will be listed and/or photographed to complete the description

NM- = Near Mint Minus
just short of perfect - acceptable defects would include a hairline mark not detectable to the touch and not affecting playback, background noise is nearly silent

VG++ = Very Good Plus Plus
most records I will list fall under this grade, just short of NM- but may have a mark or contact wear to the label to grade it slightly lower, maybe a drill hole or saw cut, maybe a mark or name written on the label lightly, sound is still great, loud and near perfect, cover may have slight edge or corner wear, maybe slight ring wear

VG+ = Very Good Plus
 a great record, sound is high quality though may have a few pops or clicks, overall very nice looking vinyl possibly with light marks & scuffs, labels may have a name or mark on them, possible light contact wear to the label, covers may have a small split but not large or gaping, edge wear on cover may show more than slight, may be a mark on cover

VG = Very Good
only records I will list with this grade would be rather rare or of higher book value, meant to sell as a filler until a better record comes along, vinyl may have feel-able marks but should play through without skipping, pops or clicks may be louder than usual, may have marks or wear on the label, cover may have open splits, wear on print, may have marks or other very apparent defects (all will be stated in description either by type or in the pictures)
