Description
This is a fine original U.S. pressing copy of the debut LP by Lothar and the Hand People, released in 1968. From Denver, the group released two psych-rock LPs with experimental elements (Theremin, MOOG, etc.). Their sound wasn't as edgy as contemporary groups mining the same sonic territory (Fifty Foot Hose, Silver Apples, United States of America), as their covers of the Everly Brothers' "Bye Bye Love" and the theme song from the Woody Woodpecker cartoon on this LP suggest. They also cover "Machines," a song originally recorded by Manfred Mann. The jacket is in fine overall condition with “FREE” punched out in one corner, a 3” split in the top seam, a few 2-3” creases, and some smaller creases -- overall EX-. The disc has some scrapes and scuffing, and plays with some light surface noise (EX).
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
If you'd like to order multiple items, I'll happily combine them so that you won't have to pay multiple shipping charges.
