Rey Azúcar was released on June 20, 1995, contains 16 songs and is the 7th album by Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. Overcoming the high bar they had left behind with Vasos Vacíos and the hit "Matador" was no easy task. For the musicians, the process of facing a new job was almost unconscious. The possibility of doing it off the Caribbean coast relieved the feeling of pressure, in addition to connecting with some ideological lines in Cianciarulo that gave that Latin American force to an album that consolidated the international projection that had begun with its predecessor.
