ONE LOOK AT THAT COVER and you'd think this was the Spanish MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR, and you'd be right. Los Brincos were one of Spain's most talented and prolific bands, and just like the Beatles, they went from a straight beat pop phase into a more creative psychedelic period. 1968's CONTRABANDO captures their transformation into the latter, as you can hear in songs like "El Pasaporte," "Rapidamente" and "So Good to Dance" all sampled below. CONTRABANDO is an amazing work, a big mod beat psych pop splash of color and melody. Just like the cover tells you.

Let's be honest - vinyl grading these days is very subjective. That's why I'll give you some soundclips with each auction so you can judge for yourself how the album sounds - every clip comes from the album you're bidding on. If I were to grade this one, I'd say it rates a strong VG++ to EXCELLENT. It's been very well kept. But, above all, listen for yourself and decide. Soundclips are at the very bottom of this listing.
