LOS BEATLES - PARA TI Uruguay Vinyl, "Spanish Only" Label ver.. URL 2102 LP
I bought this used for my personal collection circa 1980. This is a rare Uruguay release issued in the 1970s. I haven't played it since purchasing it until now to check for condition.
Discogs has a number of versions of this release. What seems to be more unique to this particular version compared to others I've seen is that it features the song titles only in Spanish on both the back cover and label. Most other versions of this release (with this same album cover) have English translations of the song titles in brackets on the label, per Discogs.
The cover jacket is paper enveloped in a plastic sleeve. I rate the cover jacket as Very Good +. The paper cover itself is fine. There is one small seam split in the plastic at the bottom. (see photos) There is also an inner folded paperboard cover that separates and protects the jacket and LP.
The LP is in Very Good condition. There are a few surface scratches, and if held in the right lighting you can see some surface "web-like" scratches that may be from the manufacturing process? I played the complete album and there are no skips but some pops and noise can be noticed at times during the tracks as well as during the silence between tracks. I originally bought this solely to add to my collection and did not play it previously. I picked this up back when I was looking to collect "obscure" releases of my favorite band. After giving this a listen, I can say that its value is in having a "rare" collectable. Even if this were a mint copy of the LP, I don't think the fidelity of the tracks hold up in comparison to any standard releases of the time.
I will place the vinyl in a new clear inner sleeve and include the original plastic sleeve also when shipping.
Please see the photos. I am not a professional grader. I am using my best judgement per the Goldmine grading standards.
I will take extra care with packing and shipment. I will put a new plastic sleeve over the existing plastic/paper outer cover and LP and will pack the LP outside of the jacket to avoid any possible seam damage during shipment. I will pack securely and ship in a Whiplash LP mailer.
