LONG TALL SHORTY on WARNER BROTHERS RECORDS from 1979. SIDE 1 : BY YOUR LOVE SIDE 2 : 1970'S BOY One of the most sought after UK punk/mod singles, this was their withdrawn debut single. This was produced by Sham 69's Jimmy Pursey but when his J.P label fell through Warner Bros. released it and inexplicably withdrew it after 1 week. It was estimated that only 200+ got out which obviously makes this highly sought after by worldwide collectors. Pursey helped the band get a UK tour with The Chords but they split up after the first night. They later reformed in 1981 and released a few more singles. 'By Your Love' is a 60's influenced number, '1970's Boy' on the flip side is an absolute punk stormer!

An excellent example of this hard to find single.  Labels are very clean just Gadebridge Y/C written in pen on each side. The record sounds brilliantl and looks to have one or two plays if any! Very shiny clean unblemished vinyl fully deserves excellent grading, if not better. The sleeve is very good +, would be excellent but has Gadebridge Y/C in pen on front! Please note that any apparent marks on vinyl seen in picture are just reflections.

 All my records are sent out in high quality thick card mailers just 1-2days after I receive payment.  I grade records as carefully as I can using the Record Collector UK Grading System.

I use the UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' gradings which are as follows:

• MINT - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as SEALED or UNPLAYED should be MINT.

• EXCELLENT - The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

• VERY GOOD - The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without major defects is acceptable.

• GOOD - The record has been played so much that the sound has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents may suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
• FAIR - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, etc. The covera and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

Free for uninsured non recorded 2nd Class UK, £1.99 for UK First Class Recorded, £6.99 for Special Delivery Next Day (I strongly advise that you use First or Special for UK), £7.99 for Rest of The World international Signed For where available.
