Description
::ARTIST: the LONELY HEARTS
::TITLES: "AMBITION" / "TONIGHT"::FORMAT: …vinyl 7” single…
::LABEL: Waterfront
::CATALOGUE #: DAMP-3
::MADE IN: Australia::RELEASE DATE: 1984
::CONDITION: (cover/record): ( VG+ / EX- ) ...'A' is M-, 'B' is EX-, but it's only some light scuffs that make it so...plays perfectly!!...
::ORIGINAL FIRST PRESSING?: Yes
Their second single...pic sleeve...
Only about 2% mellower than their first 45...you'd be more likely to compare them to Sunnyboys, Plimsouls, Shoes, 20/20, early Translator...and expecially the Nerves!!...both songs are fantastic, but "Tonight" is the true killer...tough and just loaded with melody...great guitars!!
OK, trivia buffs - you wanna know what singer John Rooney's latest venture is (apart from being a successful surgeon here in Sydney)...? oh, just fronting a band made up of Free's Simon Kirke, the Small Faces' Ian McLagan, Mitch Easter, Don Dixon, and the Spongetones' Jamie Hoover...the album's called "WELCOME TO THE ARMS OF FOREVER" by Coronet Blue...and it's freakin' awesome...search it out...
::WILL YOU LOVE THIS?: Again, impossible not to...especially if you love any of the bands mentioned above...
