MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original CBS Records very first Stereo press released, made and distributed in Argentina in 1980 by DISCOS CBS S.A.I.C.F. (CBS Records Argentina), licensed from Discos CBS S.A., Spain, catalog number 22.785, with machine etched matrix numbers ASS 2376 in Side A and ASS 2377 in Side B, with traditional orange/black CBS Records labels of the period, with white “DISCOS CBS” at top and solid center. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“Amor, Amor” (“Love, Love” in English) was the debut single by Lolita Flores, daughter of legendary Spanish singer Lola Flores, originally released in Spain in 1975, which became an immediate hit. The same year the single was released in Argentina and in all Latin America. Song titles are written in Spanish only, with full credits for songwriters and for Portuguese musician and producer Johnny Galvao for arrangements of both songs, with additional information about rights society, publishers and play time of each song. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE ARGENTINIAN PRESS of this classic hit by Lolita, a record rarely seen and maybe auctioned here in eBay by the very first time. A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Latin Soul/Pop music of the ‘70’s and especially for all fans, lovers and collectors of Lolita and Johnny Galvao!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in nice VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many soft scuffs and light hairlines, hard to see at first sight, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in great EX or EX+ condition, clean and clear, with some spindle hole wear, factory micro tears and some faint discoloration, more evident in Side A. The sound is in strong VG+ or even EX- condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise, with constant soft crackles and some occasional light clicks here and there, more evident in the last seconds of the song, and in EX or EX+ condition the Side B, loud, clean and clear, almost same condition as Side A, but with the soft crackles and light clicks less evident, which don’t cause major distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record by Lolita, in this MEGARARE ARGENTINIAN PRESS, maybe not for strict Minty minds or audiophiles, but with still a nice glossy look, almost immaculate labels and great sound quality after about 48 years, which shouldn’t disappoint anyone and should satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Argentinian single!!! We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
