Description
- Loggins and Messina released their self-titled debut "group" album in October 1972 on Columbia Records. The pair's first album was 1971's "Kenny Loggins with Jim Messina Sittin' In" which evolved from a guest appearance into a full-fledged duo. "Your Mama Don't Dance" was a hugely successful single along with other seminal tracks like "Thinking Of You," "Angry Eyes," and "Long Tail Cat."
- This copy (KC 31748) is from the first pressing and is in excellent condition, especially considering that it is nearly 50-years-old. The cover still has its original factory shrink wrap and is easily VG+. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is also VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at Customatrix and was pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Santa Maria, Calif. The Side 1 dead wax is etched S PAL 31748 1A 0 A3.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.
- Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.
- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 49 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
