Albert Lancaster Lloyd (1908-1982), usually known as A. L. Lloyd or Bert Lloyd, was an English Folk singer and collector of folk songs, and as such was a key figure in the folk music revival of the 1950s and 1960s.
Anne Briggs (born 29 September 1944) is an English Folk singer. Although she traveled widely in the 1960s and early 1970s, appearing at Folk Clubs and venues in England and Ireland, she never aspired to commercial success or to achieve widespread public acknowledgment of her music. However, she was a highly influential figure in the English folk music revival, being a source of songs and musical inspiration for others such as A L Lloyd, Bert Jansch, Jimmy Page, the Watersons, June Tabor, Sandy Denny and Maddy Prior.
Frankie Armstrong (born 13 January 1941) is a singer and voice teacher. She has worked as a singer in the folk scene and the women's movement and as a trainer in social and youth work. Involved with folk and political songs from the 1950s, she has performed and/or recorded with Blowzabella, The Orckestra (with Henry Cow and the Mike Westbrook Brass Band), Ken Hyder's Talisker, John Kirkpatrick, Brian Pearson, Leon Rosselson, Dave van Ronk and Maddy Prior. She is blind from glaucoma.
The Bird in the Bush (Traditional Erotic Songs) is a collection of traditional erotic British folk songs, although the album's content is largely in the form of euphemism and does not contain explicit references. The sleeve of this copy has some residue of glue at the lower right back corner; otherwise it is in Excellent condition.
