LLOYD ARNOLD wild rockabilly 45 “Hang Out” KATCHE rare original HEAR
Artist: LLOYD ARNOLD
Titles: “Hang Out” / “Do You Love Me”
Label: KATCHE (Memphis, Tenn.) Label is yellow with black text. Catalog number is 45-1201.
Year: 1961
NOTE: Extremely rare first issue on the tiny KATCHE label out of Memphis.
Condition: This rare record was well-enjoyed by its previous owner. Condition of “Hang Out” is G to G+ with very little of the original gloss remaining. There is heavy wear and scuffing, some minor scuffs but nothing deep that would produce jarring pops or clicks. Plays with noticeable surface noise. Plays through without skipping. Obviously must be considered a “filler” copy to fill a hole in the collection until a better one comes along, but with a record this rare and pricey that could be problematic. Label shows obvious wear, as shown in the photos.
The “b” side (Do You Love Me) grades G- to Fair with wear similar to the a-side, but also some noticeable scratch marks that produce audible swish sounds in a few spots. Close to Poor, but it does play through without skipping and without jarring pops or clicks.
As with all my records, sold with a full return privilege if not satisfied. Once it is sold I will not re-negotiate on the price, but I will take it back if you are not happy. It is not a very nice looking record, but it is a certifiable holy grail and a halfway decent filler copy. I have included sound clips of both sides in their entirety so you can hear exactly what you will be getting.
