KING 596. LITTLE WILLIE JOHN - TALK TO ME LP. 1959. Vinyl has been VPI cleaned, plays enjoyable VG with low crackle evident.  One skip heard on my light tracking turntable.  Majority of side 2 plays quieter, approaching VG+.  Front of sleeve shows remarkably little wear, 4 pointed corners and no ring, bottom & top seams repaired expertly with tape, hardly noticable.  Looks excellent in frame or protective sleeve.  Taping and light wear more evident of back of jacket, still very nice.  Very thick black label King pressing.  Not mint, but still a very playable and enjoyable copy of this hard-to-find ORIGINAL R&B LP!  Please bid with confidence.

Little Willie John's second album for King Records, Talk to Me, finds the diminutive singer with the big pipes tackling a range of material from big-city blues to jumping R&B to smooth ballads. His big hit from the record was the sophisticated doo wop-styled "Talk to Me, Talk to Me," but the rest is also high quality music. He sings his guts out on the aching "Tell It Like It Is," overcomes a cheesy backing chorus on a cover of "Person to Person," rocks out quite convincingly on "Uh Uh Baby" and "Until You Do," and swings like Sam Cooke on "There Is Someone in the World for Me." Basically, Little Willie John could sing his grocery list and it would be otherworldly. That the material he does sing on this album is so strong makes the experience doubly good.

Shipping:  All domestic and international shipping is done through the USPS, unless otherwise specified.

Domestic packages are shipped Media Mail w/delivery confirmation, unless otherwise specified. Delivery time with Media Mail is usually 7 days from ship date, but has been known to take over 2 weeks in some cases, please be aware of this.

Priority Mail is available upon request, you may contact us for a quote. Please understand shipping rates are determined by weight and location. If you are on the east coast, you may expect Priority Mail shipping to be $8-$9 for a single LP.

International packages under 4 lbs. (ie. 1-3 LPs) are shipped First Class International. Please understand that tracking and insurance are not offered by the USPS with this class of mail. Other international shipping methods are available, though substantially more expensive. We have been shipping FCI for years (as do most sellers) and have never had a package undelivered.

International packages 4 lbs. or more are shipped Priority Mail International. Tracking (to most destinations) and insurance (at a fee) are available with this class of mail. For more info please check the USPS website.

We ship once a week - Friday morning. Paid items are packed Wednesday & Thursday. Therefore, we recommend prompt payment to insure same-week shipping and thus the fastest possible delivery. We schedule most of our auctions to close on Mondays, in order to provide ample time for payment. Please be aware that items paid for AFTER Thursday morning will most likely ship the Friday of the following week.

We pack our items carefully. LP's are removed from jackets, packed in sturdy cardboard mailers specifically designed for LPs, and secured with bubble wrap and other insulation. Double-boxing is available upon request, though additional charges for materials and weight will apply.

We are happy to combine multiple items in a single shipment. Again, if you are a winning bidder, please let us know if your waiting for an additional auction to close before shipping. Additional shipping charges for single LPs are $.50 each/media, $2 each/priority or $3 each/international. Limit 3 single LPs (ie. 4 lbs.) for international shipping at these rates. Does not include dbl LPs or box sets. If you are unsure how to calculate postage, please wait for an invoice, which will be sent promptly.
