LITTLE ROY, COLUMBUS SHIP, UK COPASETIC LP, 1981, ROOTS REGGAE, VERY GOOD VINYL

Little Roy – Columbus Ship Little Roy began his career recording a few unsuccessful tracks with producers Coxsone Dodd and Prince Buster. He had his first number one hit with "Bongo Nyah" (1969), the first song about the Rastafari movement to be successful commercially in Jamaica. For his song "Don't Cross the Nation" (1970), Little Roy worked with the Wailers and producer Lee "Scratch" Perry. Starting in 1972, he worked with Maurice "Scorcher" Jackson and his brother Munchie. He recorded the songs "Tribal War" and "Prophecy" in the 1970s.

The album is on Copasetic Records, COP LP S001. Matrix side one: EJSP - 9582 - A (written). Matrix side two: EJSP - 9582 - B (written).

Condition: (as Record Collector’s grading system)
Vinyl side 1: very good (has a few marks with one causing four light clicks three quarters of the way through track one but nothing that spoils your enjoyment of the music, that apart plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: very good (has a few superficial marks that do not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Cover (glossy): good (corner, edge and spine wear, a few light creases, a bit “rough” looking).
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
