PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.

HIDEOUSLY RARE original first pressing of this forever slept-on Miami soul killer on Cat from 1972 when Willie broke out on his own after being a studio and session musician for many years.  I first heard the title track in the early 1990s being played at a record store here in Chicago and immediately sought out the 45.  I finally tracked down a beat up copy and played it to death, undoubtedly hastening my needle's demise in the process but some things are worth it.  All of Beaver's four LPs are well worth owning but this one is my favorite (with Party Down a close second) mostly because of the title track.  A stunningly gorgeous soul blues masterpiece with a guitar solo that will make the hairs on the back of your stand up.  His work on Betty Wright's Clean Up Woman made Al Kooper fly all the way to the sunshine state to seek out this obscure talent.  If you've never heard Joey go to Youtube immediately and hear your new favorite song.  You will not be disappointed.  LP is VG+/VG++ with a few light paper scuffs.  Cover is VG with a small name near the opening on the front and rear and some edge wear.  This is NOT the reissue from the 1990s/2000s.  This is a 100% guaranteed original first Cat pressing from 1972.  Supremely rare and off-the-charts brilliant so don't sleep funk/soul collectors.  I don't fawn over many records but this is an LP and artist whose praises I will forever sing and with very good reason.

I USE GOLDMINE GRADING~ MINT (SEALED)  NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++:  VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+:  AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG:  STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS
GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR:  FILLER COPY ONLY.  LOTS OF SCRATCHES
