Linton Kwesi Johnson, Forces Of Victory.

UK Island Records stereo LP, ILPS 9566.

Early issue with fully laminated outer sleeve and printed cardboard inner sleeve.

The labels of this version credit "EMI RECORDS LTD" at the bottom of the label, "FORCES OF VICTORY" is over two lines not one, and on the right side of the label it has "Copyright 1979 Island Records Ltd", omitting "Original sound recording made by". The side 2 label is a deeper shade than side 1.

Matrix / Runout (Side A): ILPS 9566 A-1U JONZ

Matrix / Runout (Side B): ILPS 9566 B-3U BUY AND READ 'RACE TODAY'

Vinyl visually VG. Still has a high gloss but displays a number of light hairline scuff marks and one more visible longer but superficial scuff mark.

Playback surprisingly grades EX plus bar some fractional run-in and outro crackle to both sides.

Labels are clean and undefaced with some spider trail marks visible and just one or two very faint storage spots.

Inner and outer sleeves around VG plus. A small and fairly neat centre seam split to bottom of inner sleeve, else both sleeves are structurally very sound and unmarked. There is a faint storage mustiness to the sleeves but no actual physical signs of water damage or staining, and the sleeves have not suffered rippling.

Nonetheless the fully cleaned LP has been placed in a new plain inner sleeve to prevent any possible cross contamination.
