Description
Purchased Brand New in a record store, this is a drilled hole CUT-OUT album. It is a GATEFOLD cover. CUT-OUT hole is on front top left, to the left of the hole is a "pressure crease" along the edge front and back (see pictures). The left edge on front center has the top layer pulled back exposing the white underneath (see picture). The bottom edge on the front has some wear that also shows on the inside of the black gatefold (see picture). The Gatefold edge has some roughness and the bottom and top inner black gatefold flap corners have some wear.The bottom back left corner is "crushed" slightly. Due to this gatefold opening opposite, the spine lettering is vertically crowded and close to center. The inner paper sleeve has a small split on one side, a slightly bigger split on the other side and an even bigger split on the bottom. It has the drill hole, some creasing and two overlaps folded back (see pictures). No rips or tears. Album vinyl has been played a couple of times with a Shure M91ED stylus and cartridge tracking at 1 gram. There is visible "surface scuffing" and super light "surface scratching" and the labels are nice with no spindle marks.

Linn County was an American blues-based band based in Iowa, and later in San Francisco, California. Linn County released three albums from 1968 to 1970. Over the course of their existence, they had seven band members. Linn County formed around 1966 in Linn County, Iowa, United States as the Prophets. In 1968, the band signed with Mercury Records, moved to San Francisco, and changed its name to Linn County. They released their first album Proud Flesh Soothseer in 1968, and toured performing with bands and musicians such as Albert King, Led Zeppelin,Sly & the Family Stone, Eric Burdon & the Animals, and Ten Years After. They were becoming more well known when the group broke up shortly after Clark Pierson left to join Janis Joplin and Stephen Miller left to join Elvin Bishop. Fred Walk kept the band together with different personnel for a time then disbanded the group in 1973. Linn County also headlined or played with Ike & Tina Turner, Earl Hooker, John Lee Hooker, Paul Butterfield, Bo Diddley, Howlin' Wolf, Elvin Bishop, Charlie Musselwhite, Steve Miller, Albert Collins and a host of others during music festivals.
