Here's ANOTHER great album in TOP condition!
This had no promotion when it was issued and it sank like a stone...It's a shame,because it's a great album and Wray is an under rated singer (And a great songwriter as well!)
Issued on Polydor in June 1971..2489 029...UK pressing in a non laminated,sort of gatefold sleeve (see pictures!)..
It has A1/B1 matrix numbers and is a first pressing.
The disc:...It looks fantastic..It looks unplayed..It has that sheen of virgin vinyl..It has no scratches or scuffs..Even strong light reveals just a couple of tiny hairlines (probably caused at the pressing plant!)..Even the most critical would not hesitate to give this a Mint/Mint minus grade..
It plays as good as it looks...MINT..NO pops..NO clicks..NO crackle and a clean sound with no distortion..If that's not mint,I don't know what is!!
The disc plays flat on the deck with no edge warps or dishing..
The labels:..Crisp,clean and undamaged with bright colours and untarnished text....There is no spindle wear at all...
The sleeve:...Unless a sleeve has been stored in a protective plastic,upright and away from light,untouched by human hand since the day of purchase,it's almost impossible to grade it as mint..Even careful handling is going to leave some signs of wear..
Well,this sleeve is EX..It does have some ageing to the white and a little dischape..But as defects they are not massively offensive...
The edges are straight..The sleeve is flat...The colours are bright and unfaded..The spine is square and undamaged with clearly legible text.
It has no rips,tears,seam splits,stains,scribble,stickers,sellotape,fingerprints,creases,corner bends or other such defects..
You are welcome to collect this in person or from The Southend Record Fair (13th July) and then the second Sunday in each month)..Where there are LOADS of great albums and singles offered for sale...
Venue for this fair is West Leigh Schools on the A13..SS9 2JB...Record collections always wanted!.
