This is a new, never-opened LP with a PUNCH to the lower left cover. (see photos) - Otherwise all is in original shrink and in "like new" condition.
I'm not a dealer, merely an analogue collector / enthusiast for the last 25 years, now selling off a few sealed duplicates and others from my small personal collection.
I don't know what it may have been like in your part of the country or world, but back in the mid-late 80's this was playing in EVERY high-end audio store in LA / Orange counties. It was (is) that good and Ms. Ronstadt's voice was rocking Southern California. The sound stage is pretty incredible, and it seems as though she's in the room with you. If you've never heard this one, you should check it out on Youtube - then you're gonna want this LP.
What's New is an album of traditional pop standards released by American singer/songwriter/producer Linda Ronstadt in 1983. It represents the first in a trilogy of 1980s albums Ronstadt recorded with bandleader/arranger Nelson Riddle.. John Kosh designed the album covers for all three albums. The album spawned a major change in popular culture because Ronstadt was then considered the leading female vocalist in rock. Both her record company and manager, Peter Asher, were very reluctant to produce this album with Ronstadt, but eventually her determination won them over and the albums exposed a whole new generation to the sounds of the pre-swing and swing eras. The one-time popular music was relegated in the 1960s and 1970s to Las Vegas club acts and elevator music. Ronstadt later remarked that she did her part in rescuing these songs which she called "little jewels of artistic expression" from "spending the rest of their lives riding up and down on the elevators." The album is currently available through Apple Music and Itunes.

No digital here.... I recently read one "classically trained" reviewer's notes wherein he recommended buying the CD rather than listening to MP3 versions because of MUCH less compression - "A word to the wise: get the CD instead of the MP3. The problem with MP3 is that they are so compressed you only get 10-20% fidelity of the music." I MAY HAVE AN EVEN BETTER IDEA - WHY NOT GO "OLD SCHOOL" AND GET THE BEST VERSION - BUY PURE ANALOGUE WHERE THERE IS NO DIGITAL INVOLVED AT EITHER END, AND NO COMPRESSION. But you have to be careful - a LOT of Vinyl created since the late 70's - 80's has been mastered digitally, so you're just as well off buying the CD. Unless you're in a car, on a bicycle or otherwise traveling, you don't need a CD. An analogue LP is the next best thing to "being there". BUY A TURNTABLE!
