Description

Gaetano Liguori Idea trio - Cile libero, Cile rosso

Italian pressing, PDU Pld A 5088 (1974)

Now very rare Italian jazz Lp on the nice PDU JAZZ series. Quite obscure protest jazz session by the "Liguori Idea trio": Gaetano Liguori (Piano), Roberto Del Piano (Electric bass) and Filippo Monico (Drums).

Epic and killer modal jazz on the 5 minutes long "In Via Ludovico il Moro, 11", with amazing piano job by Liguori himself. Incredibly long jazz suite on the whole side B, on the political "Free Chile, Red Chile", including some mad free jazz drums solo and some furious modal passages.

More superb free jazz on "Ballad for a Murdered student" and on "Referendum", Listen!
