Incredible 45 by teenage singer CYNTHIA and group featuring an incredible track in that rarest of all genres CHUTNEY DISCO / BOOGIE, with LATA RAMASAR's THE GREATEST NAME THAT LIVES being the most well known example. Like Ramasar, Cynthia is from the Indian diaspora community that migrated as land workers to South America when the African American population left the plantations for the cities after the abolition of slavery.
The Indians were contracted to work in Trinidad, Guyana and Suriname. Cynthia is from Suriname, and from an equally musical family as Ramasar, her father being the musical mastermind and brother Ronny keyboardist who went one to be one of the community's most prolific musicians. Incredibly rare in the even rarer picture sleeve. Check the fantastic privately issued 45 in the clip above!
