LET THEM EAT JELLY BEANS! 1982 Alternative Tentacles 1st Press Punk Hardcore LP VIRUS 4

This is the original 1982 Alternative Tentacles compilation documenting the first wave of American hardcore and underground punk. Curated by Jello Biafra, the album captures early recordings from bands that would go on to define the genre, including Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, Bad Brains, Flipper, D.O.A., Circle Jerks, and others. The record stands as a key historical document of the early 1980s U.S. punk movement, reflecting the raw energy, politics, and DIY ethos of the era.

This copy is a confirmed first press with the correct VIRUS 4 catalog number, original Alternative Tentacles label design, and hand-etched matrices. The original printed inner sleeve and the complete large foldout poster are both present, making this a fully intact example of the initial 1982 release.
